I am a person that prefers to listen to music than watch TV. Music takes an important part of my daily life. I love hearing christian music every where I go or am. My favorites christian artists are Casting Grown, Mathew West, and Toby Mac. I enjoy hearing gospel and pop music in the radio and youtube. One of my favorite song is " City on our Knees" by Toby Mac which is one of Toby Mac new songs. In some way, music helps me get all of my days started. Christian music influence me to go on with my life, for they give me strength and courage to face any problem. I feel connected with the songs since they build up part of who and what I am and like. The kind of music I choose to listen depends on how I am at that time. For example, when I feel sad than I prefer to listen to a song that is more clam, but when I am happy than I listen to songs that are more up lifted. Every time I listen to music I feel much better. I prefer to listen to songs that contain a message and moral because they keep me going. Unlike music that talk about death, sadness, and negative things which I do not feel connected. I prefer to listen to song that speaks of life and strength. Over all, music is a way that I feel identify with.
The word TV makes me think of fashion, sports, movies, and pop corn. However, my mind right now only has room for the words homework, guitar, and piano. Even though it is made up of two letters, "T" and "V", I do not have time to keep my mind on TV. Once I come home from college, I try to take a 30 minute break where my mind can run away from work and repose. Sadly when my break ends, I go to my computer and start doing some of my homework form Prof. Simon and prefer to wait the next day to do Prof. Wahl's assignments. You're asking why I leave Prof. Wahl assignments for the next day? Well, like my classmate know, Prof. Wahl loves to keep our minds working; such as, last Friday he said "you only have to do three chapters" which was over 20 pages with exercises. Later if I have time, I practice playing the guitar or play my piano. As you can see, I do not have too much time to watch TV.However, nothing was going to stop me from watching El Salvador played on the World Cup vs. Costa Rica on August 9, 2009. I am not a person that loves sport, and especially soccer. I hate watching sport on television, but when my country is playing than I have a reason to switch my attention to the sport channel. The great thing of watching TV is not just that it makes me entertained or for the popcorn, but that it gives me the opportunity to spend a wonderful time with my family. In some way, television helps families be unified because while watching a movie, sport, or something else we share thoughts and joy. For example, my family gathered around to watch the game of El Salvador vs. Costa Rica. At first we were upset that El Salvador could not make a goal. We all screamed every time El Salvador almost made a goal. We were disappointed when El Salvador makes a goal and they did not counted. There was 20 minutes before the game would end and El Salvador was 0 to 0 with Costa Rica, but El Salvador did not give up. The reporters lost hope having some one make a goal, so they were making their conclusion as game that will end zero to zero. Even though the El Salvador was not winning at that time, the reporter were commenting on how great El Salvador played and that they won the game because the goal that they made went in, but the score person did not see it well. There was few minutes remain and the two countries were still 0 to 0, but suddenly there was a GOAL!!!! We all jump and scream while the soccer ball was going into Costa Rica's net. El Salvador kept going to the end and never lost their hopes of winning which took them to a great victory. Amazing, for the first time sports have taught me a nice lesson of never giving up, yet if it seems impossible to obtain a victory because we never know until we get to the end.
